QS DEFENDER has put its first original, in-house holographic anti-counterfeit production line into operation. The new line adds embossing, lamination, and die-cutting capacity for 3D/4D hologram security labels under one roof, raising output and shortening delivery times for custom security foil, VOID labels, and combined holographic-plus-QR products.

The new holographic line runs through the same conversion and die-cutting process as our VOID and serialized-QR product families.

What Actually Went Live

The upgrade is a vertically integrated step, not an outsourced reorder. Holographic origination, coating, and finishing now happen on QS DEFENDER-controlled equipment, which keeps the optical security features consistent from master to finished roll. The line supports:

  • 3D/4D holographic origination for public and covert security layers
  • Multi-layer and transfer constructions that combine hologram, VOID, and printed QR in a single label
  • High-precision die-cutting for custom shapes and small-format security seals
  • In-line inspection to catch registration and adhesion defects before finishing

Capacity and Lead Time: What Changed

With the line running, monthly holographic label capacity rises by approximately 20% versus the prior outsourced arrangement, and standard custom-sample lead time drops from about 2 weeks to 1 week. The gains come from removing an external hand-off and from in-line inspection that reduces rework.

Why It Matters for Brand Owners

What customers get

  • Faster sampling — custom holographic proofs in days, not weeks
  • Consistent optical quality — one origination source, fewer batch variations
  • Secure supply — less exposure to a single external converter's capacity
  • Layered products — hologram + VOID + QR combined on one label, one order

Quality and Compliance

Production runs under QS DEFENDER's existing quality system, with the same traceability used for serialized QR and NFC programs: material lot records, in-line inspection logs, and finished-goods verification. The holographic line extends that discipline to optical security features, so a secured label can be tied back to its production batch.

Verify, Do Not Trust

Every secured unit should resolve to a live page. Scan the code below to see how a QS DEFENDER verification result reads for a genuine, already-scanned, or invalid item.

What Comes Next

The line is the first phase of a planned capacity build-out for combined holographic, VOID, and serialized-QR labels. QS DEFENDER will publish sample lead times and material specs as the next phase ramps. Request a holographic sample →
